I was out today measuring and plotting out the swim course and it came together well. Here is a link to the map – swim course map. The temp of the water is already above 70 degrees so it should be pretty comfy warm on race day. The current under the bridge is almost non-existent as the Kerr Dam spillway gates are now closed. Another cool feature of the course is that for the 3rd leg of each lap, swimmers will follow the shore at a depth of about 4 to 7 feet so they can watch the bottom flash by through the clear water. It should be a great course and fun for both novice and experienced swimmers.
